We Rise by Lifting All.Where Every Life Counts.
Empower, Include and Transforming lives through inclusion and education
For several years, the Jal Maiden Camp at Adarsh Nagar has served as a heaven to many people from all walks of life displaced due to circumstances out of their control, in particular migrants from Pakistan. Smaveshan, meaning “Inclusion” in Hindi, was founded by Krish Agrawal after years of volunteering here with his uncle during the holidays. Initially, Smaveshan focused on starting regular offline classes for local kids in the community, and after the installation of a computer system, was able to shift to online classes as well. Over time, Smaveshan has expanded towards holding larger events such as health drives and funding clothes for students in the area. Today, we are expanding it further as the focus shifts towards civic education and enabling members of the community to truly incorporate back in society - providing for themselves and reintegrating into everyday life.
We support the Adarsh Nagar refugee camp in Delhi, which primarly houses Pakistan migrants who fled religious persecution. We help them by providing civic education and outreach to help them create a new life for themselves. Despite the improvements over the years, many still face challenges such as the threat of displacement and require continued support to integrate into Indian society. We partner with volunteers and other organizations to help them in the spirit of equity and social justice.
We conduct regular classes (both online and in-person) for the children in the colony. These lessons focus on basic English, Math and computer skills, helping students keep up with school and dream bigger. So far, we have conducted over 80 classes supporting primarily an active student body of about 40, with new students joining.
In collaboration with PhysioFocus and the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Hospital, we have organized large-scale health check-up camps for residents of these underserved colonies. Our camp on 22nd June 2025 served over 200+ patients, many of whom received essential medication and referrals for further treatment.
To support our efforts, we conduct regular fundraising drives for medicine kits, food packages, school supplies and emergency relief. Every rupee raised goes directly towards contributing tangible impact in these communities. We owe a lot to people contributing small amounts, and we have pooled over 2 lakh rupees, of which 80k was used in Health Camps, 30k for funding clothes, and rest to install a computer system and WIFI for online classes.
More than 2000+ people have benefited through our camps helping diagnose, prevent and treat medical issues over the years.
Women were trained on sewing machines, empowering them with skills to support their families.
Provided basic education at camp, along with lunches and weekend activities
